The Darbari Lal Foundation (DLF), set up in the year 1996, is an educational society dedicated to the great educationist and visionary, Late Sh. Darbari Lal Ji, ex-President DAV College Managing Committee. The DLF started its journey with The Gurukuls in Panchkula with the view of providing teaching-learning experiences that are more child-centred and global in their approach yet retaining the rich contents of the cultural and traditional past of the country. The Gurukul in zirakpur is the latest venture of DLF.
The Gurukuls envisage to reach out to the heights of academic and human elevation, aiming at providing education that re-incarnates all that is traditional with a rich blend of the modern temperament. We aim at providing a conducive environment to the learners to maximize their potential, a platform to develop the ability to analyze and synthesize and think intricately about societal commitments.
We facilitate interaction of our students with renowned personalities who are achievers in their respective fields, be it related to Education, Sports or Creative Art. The ever evolving and innovative pedagogy at The Gurukul involves a dynamic and creative inter disciplinary approach encouraging experiential thinking and collaborative work. It is a learning studio emphasizing on a 'constructivist' way where children learn 'minds-on' and 'hands-on' through guided discovery.
